Dear loyal XYO HODL’ers, crypto-fans, founding members, and anyone with a serious case of crypto-envy (which is 100% real…I promise).

We’ve spent the last few months bragging about amazing tech breakthroughs, solid partnerships with companies all over the planet, and genius talent that happily went all-in with XYO.

Some of this stuff was so top-secret, we didn’t even tell our best friends or family members.

But now it’s time to announce something really huge. Something we’ve talked about for months. Something that we couldn’t tell you about until we were absolutely, positively, 100% certain it was going to happen.

So here it goes.

Introducing Spatial, our first XYO conference.

We’re holding our first XYO Network gathering in San Diego from November 9th — 11th. We want you to celebrate blockchain and crypto — with us — in America’s finest city!

New Sponsorship

Jeromy Green, just 22, is one of the hottest up-and-coming skateboarders in America, and when he’s not crushing it at the Clash@Clairemont or other U.S. competitions, he’s traveling to Sweden, Norway and other locales to wow the world with his mad skills.

New Partnerships

CAS Smart City is one of China’s top providers of smart city platforms — the “brain” behind the most technologically advanced towns, neighborhoods and locales in Asia. But in order for their smart city platforms to function, they need location data.

XYO is bringing that data to them.

The CAS Smart City signature platform can do many things, from brighten or dim lights as cars approach, charge electric vehicles, and even warn people of accidents or inclement weather.

When an XYO-connected network of vehicles and devices sends data to a CAS Smart City platform, one may expect less traffic, safer pedestrians, and a metropolis that runs like a well-oiled machine.

From driverless cars to trains that travel at the speed of commercial aircraft, the future of transportation is exciting, daunting, and kind of like the wild west.

That’s why we’ve partnered with the Mobility Open Blockchain Initiative (MOBI), the consortium designed to create the blockchain rules for the future of transportation.

In this exciting partnership, we’ll be giving MOBI valuable location data, and testing out blockchain in the transportation world. We envision driverless cars that use XYO to “see” each other — as well as empty parking spots, and even a secure mobility commerce platform that allows people to pay for transportation-focused services.

If we can create a safe and secure mobility commerce platform using blockchain and cryptocurrency, the transport of people and goods will be safe, efficient and seamless.

We’re hosting our first blockchain and cryptocurrency conference: Spatial. And we want you to be there!

New Team Members

We’re still filling out our team, but here are the latest people to join the XYO Network!

Erik Allison

Front-end development and design is a lot like playing an instrument. There’s a technical aspect with theory and logic behind it, but also an incredibly creative and artistic side. Erik’s extensive musical background is what drew him into the vastly expanding world of web dev.

His coding journey began with MySpace layouts and simple tinkering. After joining a notable artist management label in Los Angeles, he took on the role of coding up the marketing campaigns and designs. Fast forward a few years and he’s happily at home on the XYO design team.

When this native San Diegan is not hacking away on his laptop, you may catch him playing music, catching waves or on the slopes.

Tracie Hohoney

Tracie is all things customer service! Her background contains customer and technical support, predominantly in the financial and technology industry, via voice, email, and chat. In some cases, providing support via two or more methods simultaneously. Customer support is a passion of hers, as she believes the customer is the backbone of a ompany!

Tracie’s professional goal is to become head of training. Born and raised in San Diego, she’s a die-hard New Orleans Saints and Drew Brees fan. As the mother of two boys she spends the majority of her spare time going to water parks and Sea World, and prefers to add cheese on everything.

Nate Brune

Nate has been captured by the gravitational well of Blockchain technology since he was in middle school. Whether it’s a notable new consensus algorithm or half-decent proof of work, Nate is there to study and learn from it. His craving for a more free and open society is at the heart of what drives Nate to keep pushing forward to a decentralized and Blockchain-based world.

Nate Joined XYO in July as a Blockchain developer and is developing the tools and libraries needed to bring the XY Oracle network to life. When he isn’t hacking away on the Blockchain, he can be found exploring the comedy clubs of San Diego or in his cave at home trying to fix his Linux installation.

Ryan Pillsbury

Ryan is a senior full stack engineer. He enjoys nothing more than solving a difficult problem on the back-end and pairing it with a beautiful user interface on the front-end. In particular, Ryan is passionate about API design, functional programming and the automation of all things!

When Ryan isn’t churning out code you can find him on one of San Diego’s sunny beaches playing spikeball or enjoying a surf.
