Updates from the Dev Cave: ETHDenver BUIDLathon XYO Winners!

Last weekend, members of our dev team took a trip to ETHDenver to spend time with some of the biggest minds in blockchain development. We also participated in the BUIDLathon, offering an additional award for two teams that used XYO technology in new or interesting ways.

Two teams impressed our devs enough to take home the bounty:

Pin-ID, or “ People-in-Need-Identity” is a tool that verifies that crypto sent to help a region in need actually is going to the area that needs it. It uses a trusted XYO Sentinel to verify that the recipient is in the affected region while still maintaining confidentiality for the donor and the recipient.

Wel-fair provides a marketplace where underprivileged citizens can fulfill government-specified bounties and get rewarded for their contributions in the form of welfare benefits.

Our Founder and CEO, Arie Trouw, spoke on a “Proof of Location” panel alongside National Geographic’s Marcus East, DISH’s Cameron Schorg, and moderator Matthew Aaron of Crypto 101. Check it out below!
