XYO and DRVR: Making Vehicle Fleets Smarter and More Cost Efficient

Managing a fleet of vehicles, from rambling, heavy duty big rigs to the rinky dink compact cars, is somewhat like complicated math.

The entry level equation — the starter math — of fleet management tracks how far the vehicles go each day, and nothing more. This math is all about miles, getting from point A to point B, and all those little stops in-between.

If you’re a truly sophisticated fleet analytics company, like Asia’s DRVR (pronounced DRVR), you’re making advanced calculus look easy, juggling any number of data points, from how much gas your fleet burns through each day to which routes have the least amount of congestion.

DRVR’s Internet of Things (IoT) platform takes a huge number of measurements and churns out data points, rolling all these numbers into bottom line information that measures performance and cost savings and efficiency.

But the heart of fleet management will always be this: Location.

It is the center of everything. The organizing principle.

For DRVR, advanced analytics are used to manage fleets from Canon, Mobil, Carlsberg and more. When automobiles move across the humid Thailand countryside or weave their way through jam-packed traffic in Hong Kong, location data is the essential part of the puzzle.

We’re partnering with DRVR to enhance their analytics engine, to deliver better location data to the fleets that need it, whether they’re delivering frosty cases of beer or yellow toner to desktop copy machines.

DRVR’s CEO and Founder David Henderson has a simple goal: Make Asia’s vehicle fleets the smartest and most cost-efficient on the planet.

Our relative location data and other measurements will play a role in making this happen!
