Last August, we partnered with the organization that’s going to lead transportation into the future: MOBI — the Mobility Open Blockchain Initiative. What is MOBI’s purpose? To make mobility as safe and efficient as environmentally friendly as possible.

Our membership immediately placed us in spectacular company, with BMW and IBM and GM and FORD as peer members.

Now, alongside the Trusted IoT Alliance (TIoTA), MOBI is holding its Grand Challenge (MGC) — a hunt to find the use cases that matter. The ultimate goal is to identify the tech that will make transport safe and free of congestion both now and in the future, and we’re a part of that movement.

The MGC will last three years. Right now, we’re in the first phase, which wraps up with a public demonstration of the chosen tech in Munich, next month! There are two use case categories involved: Roadside Infrastructure & Autonomous Vehicles, and Supply Chain. We’re in the first category.

So, not only is XYO participating, we’re asking for your vote!

Here’s how to vote for XYO in the grand challenge:

Step 1: Visit http://bit.ly/2TiXUvL

Step 2: Find video #23, which is the XYO video

Step 3: VOTE FOR XYO (and tell your friends to vote too!)

The winner of this first phase will share in a to-be-determined prize. And XYO is also contributing to the winner’s pool!

Now, here’s our role in the MGC. We’ve long stated that XYO could transform transportation. Our protocol can be used to help cars communicate, find parking spaces, and even pay for parking — without the driver ever even thinking about it.

We’ve entered the MGC to show that our communication protocol is essential to transportation. It provides an industry standard for the future. And that no network of cars or trains or even airplanes can make it without the framework for vehicles “seeing” each other and communicating. XYO can make it happen.

Thank you for your vote!
