XYO and Rivetz: Making Digital Asset Protection Easy, Safe and Secure

If you’re a Developer, you already know the challenge of creating an airtight app that’s so secure that it protects payment transactions, locks down account keys and passwords, and shields other valuable parts of a user’s identity from hackers.

And you’ve probably come to this familiar fork in the road, more than once:

  1. Spend time and money building out your own security for your app.
  2. Pay for various services that promise security, but don’t necessarily deliver it, draining your budget in the process.

What if there was a third option, a way to use blockchain technology to manage payment processing, user identity, and more, for consumer devices like cell phones?

Not new hardware or anything like that, but a way to harden existing devices using distributed ledger technology, without having to build that technology on your own?

Rivetz offers a Software Development Kit (SDK) that secures digital assets, processes payments, and does so much more in what is known as the Trusted Execution Environment, or TEE. We’re going to deliver the location data for some of the most important transactions that use Rivetz..

The TEE is a vault-like area within the chipset of mobile phones and other devices where information can be stored and remain hidden from the operating system of the device. Rivetz enables other applications to use the TEE to protect private keys and other secrets, while recording the transactions and attesting to their intent on the blockchain. These and the use of various cybersecurity controls are paid for in RvT tokens on the Ethereum blockchain.

XYO’s role is providing proof of location for important transactions, such as the exchange of a real estate title, which may depend on one or more people being in a specific place for the deal to be considered valid.

We’re proud to add location verification to the Rivetz mix, and look forward to bringing geographic trust to their transactions.
