If you love to run and you love raising money for charity, there’s probably no shortage of 5Ks, half-marathons and full marathons you can join to support causes close to your heart. Charity runs are big business, and have fundamentally proven that donating something for free — fitness — can truly help those in need.

But here’s an even better idea. What if you could raise money for your nonprofit of choice outside of those major events, earning crypto for charity while you train for a charity run — or even when you just take a jog around the neighborhood?

Run2Play is putting fitness and charity on the blockchain, giving users the chance to earn money each time they hit the pavement via the company’s app. We’re partnering with Run2Play to deliver location data that verifies each runner’s journey, so charities can earn the benefits.

In this short video, we interviewed Run2Play founder Joseph Anthony on his vision and goals. Here’s what he had to say:

At XYO, we believe leveraging everyday fitness for charity via the blockchain is not just noble, it could be the way most nonprofits raise money in the future. We’re thrilled to partner with Run2Play, and look forward to contributing to the world of philanthropy!
