Connected Dots
Revisited
This was the post I wrote two years ago. People who think in words, write. Those who think in visuals about abstract ideas, draw. I post this article again on medium with the visual and some minor changes.
It seems we all are like dots in a three dimensional space spread across in this vast ethereal medium. We have colors. Boys in blue and girls in pink. The blue and pink dots in the space. And then, you draw the lines, the white lines of friendship and the black ones of enmity. This is what we see…the black and white picture. The two colored space. Limiting our views and observations, our beliefs and our judgement of others. One is good or bad, friend or enemy; and there is nothing in between.
Turning to a colored picture is awe-striking. For it brings in the enormous scope of possibilities. You are no longer restricted to two doors sweetheart. For, when you see people as not by their gender. Blue boys and pink girls turn black and then colors start popping in the space. Each person with his own unique color. And then they turn into different colors at different times. For who used to be yellow with ignorance now turns to red with love…and maybe a blue calm introvert turn into vibrant green optimistic one. Look around and you will find dots with different colors spread on this black canvas.
What makes it more special is the different links. You don’t have only white-black lines connecting you to the other dots. There are different colors, different thicknesses. While some are faint, others are dark. It is all so vibrant. You have a strong red connection of love with someone and a weak gray connection of indifference to the other.
How colorful does the space seem now…so true. Its all in your mind. For these dots and links reside in the mind. Changing and evolving by each gone second. Its just for us to realize…for when we see the world like this, our notions about it change so gravely that it is no wonder we start looking in a whole new different way!:)
