After a successful maiden election in December 2017, the newly elected executives of the YALI Regional Leadership Center, West Africa, Alumni Chapter of Nigeria had their first official meeting on Saturday 27th January 2018 in Lagos Nigeria.

The meeting was primarily focused on how to unify the alumni body in Nigeria as well as harness the potentials of fellows to reach rural communities in Nigeria.

Rural communities is emphasized because the RLC is particularly interested in how our impact can be extended to the underserved communities.

As we know, Nigeria is strategic to the sustainability of the RLC West Africa. Hence, we deliberated on various activities and projects that would help improve the RLC West Africa brand Equity.

We have now ambassadors since we became beneficiaries.

Some of the conclusions reached includes: — Focusing on Education based projects for this RLC calendar.
- Unifying our database.
- Creating avenues for more alumni members to collaborate
- Establishing and strengthening relationships with strategic partners and sponsors.
- Amplifying the stories and impact of fellows.

We acknowledge that all regions have their contextual peculiarities and that the regional executives should develop programs tailored to their geographical jurisdictions.

To participate fully as an alumni of the regional leadership centre, please reach out to your respective regional representatives.

Your regional representative would give details of how this generic plans apply to your own region.
