Courage to See Our Own Colors
I enjoy reading how to do blog posts, such as “7 Ways to be More Productive”. They serve a well intended purpose in the age of technology. But they fail to shed a light, when it comes to dealing with different states of the human mind. If there was a thing as “3 Ways to be Unbiased” or “5 Steps to Cure Racism”, we could have end most of our global struggles in an instant. We won’t, because this is not another app we try to include into our workflows.
We do the next best thing. We share the stories of our biases. We accept our shortcomings. We accept our own confusion. We face with our own humanness. Through that, we aim to do something 7 steps programs can’t teach us. We hope to touch our own hearts, remove our own blinders.
Technology gave us many ways of communication, and we need all the guidelines we can get to use them efficiently. Still, the best stories we can tell are our own tales, and the way we perceive the world we live in. We don’t need followers, or likes. What we need is the courage to look into ourselves, see our own colors, recognize the direction of our life story, and learn how to write a better ending for it.
