We’re excited to be further expanding our operations in the US and displaying our capabilities during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas for the second year in a row.

At CES 2020, our team will be operating two of our self-driving cars from Sunday, January 5th through Friday, January 11th. To avoid the slow traffic on the Las Vegas strip during CES, we are operating on dynamic routes around the neighborhoods of the Hard Rock Hotel. The routes include four-lane traffic, four-way intersections, pedestrian areas, crosswalks, and speeds of up to 45 MPH.

Last year, our demos at CES marked our first experience driving in the United States. Our team retrofitted a vehicle and mapped the area in a month, and then safely provided rides during CES.

This year we are thrilled to be back in Las Vegas offering rides on more complicated and challenging routes. Building on our experience from last year in Las Vegas and our other advancements testing in Russia and Israel, we are continuing to advance towards our goal to make roadways safer with universal and scalable self-driving technology. Each mile in our diverse driving locations brings us one step closer to achieving our goal.

The demos at CES 2020 will kick off a big year for our program in the US. Following CES 2020, our team will be working together with our partner, Hyundai Mobis, to prepare ten self-driving Hyundai Sonatas to provide rides in downtown Detroit during the North American International Automotive Show in June 2020.

We look forward to riding with you! For more information about meeting our team and riding in our vehicles at CES 2020, please contact us!
