Funny how we know the CIA did insane shit back in the day, but when we mention something happening nowadays, we label it a “conspiracy theory.”
Let me not get ahead of myself.
Project Mk-Ultra is an official CIA program that involved trying to find the secrets to mind control. Yup, mind control. It officially stopped in 1973, but some aren’t so sure about that.
When I say “mind control” I don’t mean putting your finger on your forehead and trying to make your wife get you another beer. These experiments involved exposing hundreds of Americans and Canadians — including Harvard students and the Unabomber — to tremendous amounts of pain, psychological torture, or LSD and seeing what they could get patients to do under the stress.
