Women, It’s Time to Take Over Crypto
Let’s break the blockchain of male-dominated tech and finance industries
I’m out to dinner with friends, and two male friends are talking excitedly about the boom of cryptocurrency. I keep trying to chime in but I keep getting interrupted. The topic is the value and prospect of Dogecoin. After being interrupted for the 100th time, I finally bang my hand on the table to get the attention of my friends.
“Have you been listening to me at all?!”
They had been talking about an internet meme coin for the past twenty minutes without considering the legitimacy of the technology the coin is built on.
I ended that conversation with a $100 bet on the table that Dogecoin would not rise above $0.50 in June. I won. I invested it in Ethereum when it dipped below $2000 recently. As I’m writing this, Ethereum is over $2,600.
Okay, good for you. So what?
My point is not that I know better and that I’m a smart cookie, although I do like to believe that. My point is that anyone is capable of investing in cryptocurrency.
