Welcome! ‘The Key’ is your access to all the news and updates at Yave.

What’s in a name// Why The Key?

Yave is a disambiguation of the Spanish word “llave: key” or “ya vé: you can see.” Our name reinforces a core tenet of ours: unlocking value through transparency.

In our first 2020 issue, you’ll read the latest updates from Seattle, a fond farewell to an early cofounder, and a little look-ahead for what’s around the corner. Those who already follow our updates will notice this is a different format- we’ll be publishing from Medium until we finish a website redesign- thanks for bearing with us!

Techstars Seattle 2020

It is our honor and privilege to announce publicly for the first time that Yave joins an exceptional cohort of startups for Techstars Seattle spring 2020! Read about the prestigious program here: https://www.geekwire.com/2020/techstars-seattle-reveals-10-new-startups-11th-cohort/. Currently we are in the middle of three months of intensive mentorship, customer discovery, product focus, and capital raising in order to better serve the coffee sector. We are developing some really cool stuff and greatly appreciate the time many of you have contributed to our discovery calls. You will be hearing from us- let us know if you’d like to follow or participate in our next pilot program by dropping an email to info@yave.io with the subject “pilot.”

Happy Trails- Kevin “Kai” Chang

Join us in wishing Kevin “Kai” Chang best of luck as he pursues his killer market research company- Kai Analytics — on a full time basis. Congrats, Kai, it’s been awesome to see you grow your business! Scott and Kai actually met at La Marzocco Cafe in Seattle while both contemplating starting their own tech businesses- and the partnership yielded grants, travel together in Seattle, Vancouver, The Philippines, and Tokyo; many outrageously large bacon-centric meals, and most importantly yet another friendship forged by coffee! Godspeed, Kai!

What’s On:

We’re working our butts off to maximize the value of our Techstars program, and spending more time than ever trying to learn from our peers in the coffee sector. We aren’t quite ready to disclose what our next software release will be, but we’re very excited and so are our go-to-market partners. Stay tuned for our Demo Night: April 29, 2019 here in Seattle. Talk soon!
