York hosted its annual Halloween Parade on Sun., October 29. The York Halloween Parade, presented by York Traditions Bank, has been an annual event since 1950.

Despite wet and rainy conditions, over 10,000 people
still attended the event. It started at the York Fairgrounds and continued onto W. Market St. The parade featured the following: entertainers, dance routines, JROTC march routines, floats etc. Some of the floats included creative tributes to: Toy Story, Star Wars, and The Nightmare
Before Christmas. Parade attendees even had the opportunity to snag some free goodies. Doritos, Martin’s Kettle Cooked Potato chips and Popcorn, along with a plethora of candy were thrown to the crowd. Many students from York College of Pennsylvania helped volunteer with the parade. Majority of the volunteers helped pass out parade programs to the attendees and others
assisted in the VIP Area.

For their hard work, the volunteers received a free long-sleeved parade shirt.

The York Halloween Parade is a historic event for the York community that everyone is encouraged to experience.
