Black Lives Matter

Discrimination of Blacks is starting to have an impact on everyone’s life in the world. Blacks are tired of the killing of their people by the law enforcements. We are all feeling like the police officers are taking advantage of their powers. Police killed at least 102 unarmed black people in 2015, nearly twice each week. Mostly all the black kids are stereotyped and picked on by the police everywhere they go. I can’t leave the gas station without the police thinking I bought a two dollar cigarello packet so I can smoke marijuana. I can’t walk out of a store without getting followed by a police officer. We get treated so unfairly because of the color of our skin acting as that one aspect defines us. The black communities our fed up and our joining with each other to defeat the discrimination and unfair treatment that we’re receiving.
The murders of Alton Sterling on July 6th, 2016 and Philando Castile July 7th, 2016 are some of the most devastating events in Black History. The murdering made the black communities join together and try to stop the killings that have been going on for decades. A lot of people are taking the peaceful way out by protesting in various cities like Oakland, Atlanta, and Baton Rouge. At some of the protest the police were still treating blacks like they have less rights than the white race. Arresting them for reasons they couldn’t even point out. Cities like Dallas protest ended in violence and gun shots. Police officers all around the world are probably thinking about how the officers got shot at the protest. The officers being shot spoke words for the black community that we didn’t want to represent us. We are willing to be peaceful. We just don’t want to be treated unfairly or any lessly than the white race.
Racial problems are going around the world. The reason I chose the word “blacks” other than “African-Americans” through out the article is because it represents all the blacks around the world getting treated unfairly. This isn’t only something that takes place in America. Cities like London have taken a stand and are also with the “Black Lives Matter” movement. They have very few shootings from they’re police compared to the United States of America but they still know the feeling how to be treated unfairly. Most black people around the world are treated unfairly. The world needs to change the way they look at Blacks and start treating all the people in the world like they are equal.
