Disney is a glimpse away
Starting from the day we can talk, we always wanted to be someone. I would say I wanted to be a fireman, an astronaut, etc. At the moment I want to pursue Civil Engineering.
Someone who inspired me to do Engineering is my dad. My dad started construction at an early age. He gained a lot of success from construction. When I started learning how successful his life has been due to construction. I then wanted to pursue some form of construction. The idea of making things just sounded fun, and a reasonable type of job I would actually enjoy.
At an early age, I have always wanted to work at Disney. Just the feeling of getting away from reality into a world of happiness has always appealing to me. Around the age of 13, I started having a general understanding in detail what I can do for Disney. I decided that being a normal worker at Disney would not make enough for success for my life. I then realized I wanted to design the rides. Which that position is called Disney Imagineering.
I then started having interviews with past workers from Disney World which gave me advice. I also had an interview with an Disney Imagineer. He told me every step I needed to take to make sure I would get this successful position. At this point, I realized I had to do Engineering as a major.
Now came the part of trying to find a college that is best fit for my degree. There were not many colleges to choose from. After testing I decided to apply for Kennesaw State University. I had to make sure Kennesaw State University would allow me to work for Disney while still attending KSU. I was not accepted, but I was given an option to do a program over the summer. After much consideration, I decided to apply for Bridge to Success.
I want to pursue construction management, but I still want to do Civil Engineering. I am going to try to mix the two together for more success. At some point of my life I do want to work at Disney as a bucket list goal. I am here for success and to achieve my goal by working for Disney.
At this point, I just need to find what can benefit me the most financially and mentally. That is what college is for. It’s finding out what you want to do with the rest of your life, and the steps you need to take to pursue it.
