Here at Kennesaw State University there is a vast selection of student organizations established and ready to be joined. I’m sure this means starting a club or organization you are truly passionate about has been made easy and within each students’ reach. If I were to start my own student organization, I would start a club called “Hot Girl Semester Club” where all students are welcome to join to come together in effort to assist each other in maintaining academic excellence and reaching our goals for the semester together as a giant study and support group. I would call it the “Hot Girl Semester Club” to entice members and potential members to look at their schoolwork as excitedly as they looked at their “hot girl summer” activities. We would come together to make the school year as fun and beneficial as their time away from school over summer was. Our main goal is to elongate students’ positive attitudes and energy throughout the entire semester: Summer, Spring, and Fall. In order to do this, my club would organize energetic group study sessions, “Quiz-LIT Nights” where we arrange and study our Quizlets for classes together, “Kahooty-hoo” where we come together on campus to administer and participate in group Kahoots to study and have fun together, and other activities aimed to ease our minds and stress amidst the overwhelming demands of the semester.

Our club would play an important role in positively impacting students’ study habits, mental health, sense of belonging, time management, and overall feel of happiness and community here at KSU. Students would bond at our study groups, have fun and feast together at our energetic Kahoot or Quizlet-centered events, and most importantly relieve stress together at events such as our “Siesta Fiestas” held in the afternoon as a haven for students throughout the day to come rest up on campus. As the founder of this club I hope to fill in some gaps in student’s lives I feel are hard to fill in all alone and simultaneously. Physical needs such as sleep and food can be stressful to obtain at times under certain circumstances so my club would greatly help with that whenever possible. My club would also, obviously, focus upon mental health to assist students in healthily reaching their academic goals, such as through providing them with friendships and a support group accessible at all times. Most importantly we would focus on strategies and processes to more efficiently learn, understand, and evaluate the information presented to us and effectively apply it in our classes to get all As and high GPAs.

As long as students are a part of this club, there is no way they can crash and burn during their semester here at KSU. Hot Girl Semester Club would work diligently to provide all the resources possible for a stress-free school environment while maximizing each and every members’ academic success throughout the year. As we focus on every vital aspect of college success, such as belonging, time-management, mental health, and physical health there is no room for any of the Hot Girl Semester Club’s members to fail and each member is guaranteed to reap as many emotional and physical rewards as they did over their hot girl summers.
