As humans we just want to be accepted and feel like we belong. Whether we belong to a group, in a place, or to a person. A sense of belonging is what we strive for. In middle school and High school we always had somewhere we belonged. For some it was the basketball court or the football field, for others it was the band or National Honors Society. Now, that has all been changed. We have been thrown into the great big world of the unknown. We have no friends, no direction, and all that we thought we knew is irrelevant. It can be extremely overwhelming.

Now we are faced with two options, have a mental breakdown or, find a new place to “ belong.” Here at K.S.U there are over three hundred student organizations falling in over nineteen categories. With so many options there is bound to be a group for you, a place where you can feel welcome.

Student organizations are a place where you can be who you are and do what you love. As you grow your views and opinions change. We want to know more, we want to see more and now we have that opportunity. We can begin to explore and unlock a whole new world we never thought existed.

It is no secret college is hard. Transitioning from High School to College is even harder. Find a group who thinks the same things you do, who feels the same way you do, and has the same goals as you. A group that has the same beliefs and values. Look hard, you might not have to go far to find that place where you belong here at Kennesaw State University.
