Years of Living Dangerously, Season 2, Episode 1, profiles the most anti-clean energy law in the country. Despite his progressive image, Warren Buffett is largely responsible for that law. He can undo it, and he should.

Buffett’s company owns NV Energy, which proposed the Nevada solar tax that eliminated thousands of green jobs in a state with the 48th worst unemployment rate in the nation. Buffett himself has defended the tax.

Buffet runs a house divided on climate change. At a time when he is setting a strong example in the income tax debates in the Presidential election, the solar tax is one tax that needs to go.

Mr. Buffett, your company asked for this law, and you can reverse it. It’s time to show the same leadership on clean energy taxes that you are showing on income taxes. The world is watching.
