$DUCKIES Are to Migrate to v2 Amid Duckies Canary Network Announcement
$DUCKIES token is to receive a smart contract update which will lead to a token swap.
Yellow announces today the start of the $DUCKIES token migration event, which also marks the deprecation of the existing $DUCKIES token on Feb 27th, 2023.
The old $DUCKIES token will be deprecated on Feb 27th, 2023 (EOL — Apr 5, 2023,) and all existing holders will be able to swap at the rate announced 1 day ahead of the migration period start.
As part of the ongoing efforts to improve the technology, and $DUCKIES token will receive a smart contract upgrade to reflect the new utility within the Yellow ecosystem, as well as the new tokenomics to have an integral role in Duckies Canary Network.

We are informing our community ahead of time to make sure people have enough time to prepare for the swap and set the alarm for the key dates:
- Feb 27: Token deprecated (please see the announcement of the token migration on Polygonscan)
- Mar 6: Migration starts, redemption period starts (please note that during this time, minting, transfers, and reward payouts will be experiencing freezing and downtime)
- Mar 15: Release of the NFT game
- Jun 30: Migration closes (the period has been extended)
- Jul 31: Old token’s end of life (EOL)
We understand that this may cause an inconvenience for some of our users, so please be informed and prepared to avoid any disruption in your activities.
The team will allow the holders a month-long migration period to swap their tokens to $DUCKIES v2. For that, please log in on the platform between Mar 6th and Apr 5th, 2023 and accept the terms of migration, overwise, you may lose your $DUCKIES after the token self-deprecates on Apr 6th. We encourage all users who hold $DUCKIES to swap them for the new token before April 4th, 2023.
