Margot Robbie is Ready to Portray Harley Quinn in David Ayer’s Cut of ‘The Suicide Squad’

Margot Robbie who played the iconic character of DC’s Harley Quinn in the movie ‘The Suicide Squad’, is ready to bring the character to life again in the extended version of ‘The Suicide Squad’.

After a blockbuster release of Warner Bros. Zack Snyder’s director’s cut of “Justice League,” fans really wanted the company to release the David Ayer’s cut of his directorial, “The Suicide Squad”, after he confirmed his existence in an emotional letter last week, according to Variety.

Robbie’s character in David Ayer’s directorial was one of the most critics praised portrayals of a character in a movie, which eventually put Harley Quinn as a lead or supporting character in many projects one of which is the “Birds of Prey.”

“I think that’s all a very complicated situation that I am probably not responsible for,” Margot Robbie, who plays the iconic Harley Quinn in both Ayer’s “Suicide Squad” and Gunn’s “The Suicide Squad,” told Variety‘s, Marc Malkin.

The Suicide Squad, Robbie spoke with ET! Online to discuss the latest DCEU film. The Oscar nominee said,

“I’ve had enough of a break. I’m ready to do her again. I did Birds of Prey and The Suicide Squad back-to-back, so that was a lot of Harley all in a one-year period, but that was a while ago now. I’m always ready for more Harley!”

Meanwhile, the popularity of one of the most loved ‘antiheroes’ in the DC universe may get also get a solo film, which was confirmed by James Gunn, director of “Suicide Squad (2021)” while answering a Q/A on his Instagram Handle.

Harley Quinn was created in 1992 for Batman: The Animated Series as a female follower and lover for Mark Hamill’s version of the Joker but Gotham’s Villain gained more popularity in a short span of time climbing its position to as Jim Lee, DC Comic co-publisher once described as their new “fourth pillar behind Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman”.

The solo film for Harley Quinn is reportedly in discussion and the ‘Gotham Crime Princess’ is already ready to hit the theaters soon as fans are waiting for a confirmation by Robbie or Gunn for the much anticipated DC movie.
