At Yellowme, we are convinced pets make the world a better place and we believe that’s right down to the office and our culture. That’s why we are proud to have a dog-friendly office, where we welcome dog-ployees to join their humans at work each day.

According to national statistics, 7 out of 10 homes in Mexico own a pet, where 80% of them are dogs.

We are aware that for most of us, our dog means more than only a pet, they are part of our family.

Working at a pet-friendly office offers employees a cool new way to enjoy their four-legged friend companionship and spend more time with them during the day that otherwise they might not be able to share. This means people at Yellowme don’t have to worry about rushing home to let the dog out or staying home to watch a pet that may be feeling a little down.

Several studies have shown that pets help bring happiness and joy to employees in the workspace and reduce overall stress.

Apart from this, pets tend to become a common interest that can promote communication and social interaction between coworkers. We love the idea of employees being able to express a bit of their personality by bringing such an important part of their personal life to their workspace.

If you work at Yellowme or are joining our team soon, and you want to bring your pet to work, you need to consider a couple of things.

  • Keep your dog under proper control at all times.
  • Make sure your dog is housetrained, but be prepared for little accidents.
  • Prepare everything they will need throughout the day. Whether that is their favorite toy, food or a bed, it’s best to make sure that they will be comfortable so you can work through the day.
  • Make sure your pet feels okay being around new people other than you. Clients and visitors tend to come and go in and out of the office quite frequently, so make sure your pet can handle it.
