The Bullet Club is already in the ring!

Hangman Adam Page and the Young Bucks are here to comment how there’s “absolutely ZERO competition” in the tag team divisions — the Bucks are draped in gold “it’s ridiculous” — it’s time to hop into the trios division with the ROH World Six Man Tag scene. A great idea, especially after beating former champions in Bully Ray & The Briscoes, they’re going right at the current champs, Dalton Castle & The Boys! The Bullet Club is here, “consider that match booked!” And while they’re at it, Hangman announces the Tea Party with Marty Scurll, The Villain!

Marty Scurll helped the Bullet Club pull off that win on Bully & The Briscoes last week, and this week, The Villain will be involved in a Six Man Mayhem match, next!
Six Man Mayhem Match: Marty Scurll w/ The Bullet Club VS Frankie Kazarian VS Josh Woods VS Will Ferrara VS Vinnie Marseglia w/ The Kingdom VS El Terrible!
An eclectic collection of talent from all over ROH and even a CMLL legend, but only one can get the win. Per lucha rules, two men start and the other four wait to tag in, we start with Vinnie and Marty. Villian and wild man circle, Kaz tags in! The Heavy Metal Rebel is far from through with the Bullet Club, Marty scrambles to tag in Ferrara. And the fans applaud. Ferrara and Kaz circle, Ferrara kicks and throws hands. Ferrara mocks Kaz’s air guitar, Kaz speeds things, gets a quick fireman’s carry takedown to cover, Marty breaks that pin right away then scrambles away again. Ferrara kicks Kaz but his whip is reversed, Kaz gives Ferrara a hip-toss neckbreaker. Marty breaks up then runs away again, but Kaz pursues. Cat and mouse between Kaz and Marty allows The Goods to hop in, Marty runs all the way to the stage for safety while Mr. Top Prospect 2017 circles with Mr. Runner Up Prospect 2016. Woods throws Ferrara to the mat, and again, facelock to a cover, TWO, Woods keeps on Ferrara but Ferrara gets to ropes. Woods lets go, whips but is reversed, Ferrara throws double ax handle but it has no effect on Woods. Ferrara runs, so Vinnie takes advantage and gets a waistlock on Woods. Woods uses a judo throw to get the armlock, Vinnie rolls so it becomes a headlock, Vinnie powers out but Woods is tripped up by Ferrara. Woods gives Ferrara a stiff right hand while El Terrible hops in, these two wild hombres fire up and fire off shots! Terrible whips Vinnie to a corner, Vinnie gives a knee then runs at Terrible, tilt-o-whirl into Russian leg sweep, Marty breaks that pin, too. “Woop woop!” Terrible and Vinnie continue, Terrible gives a double punch to the gut and a headlock, Vinnie powers out but Terrible shoulders him down. Terrible swivels the hips before running but Vinnie trips him up. Vinnie goes to low dropkick but Terrible gets clear, then Terrible kicks him in the back. Terrible picks Vinnie up, whips him at Woods’ corner, Vinnie elbows out, Terrible just gives him a wild-eyed grin before kicking and whipping Vinnie but is reversed into Kaz’s corner. Stiff forearm from Vinnie, he gives a wild-eyed grin to the crowd, he doesn’t notice El Terrible’s own wild-eyed grin. They come wild-eye to wild-eye again, and start firing off chops again! Terrible bumps and hits a running haymaker. Ferrara comes in as Vinnie rolls out, mocking the swagger, but Terrible blocks the whip with power. Terrible whips Ferrara to a corner, Ferrara elbows back, Terrible comes in again but gets another elbow. Ferrara rushes Terrible, DDT, Marty breaks the pin again. Kaz tries to give chase, he gets away, “Woop woop!” Kaz gets Ferrara out of the ring, he slaps Terrible, nothing. Terrible wants Kaz to try harder, so Kaz does. When that second chop doesn’t work, Kaz pokes the eyes. Then he throws forearms, Terrible rocks him with a left haymaker. Terrible whips Kaz, Kaz ducks but gets decked with a left lariat, and yes, Marty breaks the pin again! Marty and the fans celebrate as we go to break.
We return, Vinnie and Ferrara are in the ring together, Ferrara daring the Kingdom’s crazy horse to come at him. He wants it, so Vinnie swings, but Ferrara ducks for a waistlock. Standing switch, Woods comes in just because, so it’s a double German Suplex!

The Goods is fired up but Kaz dropkicks him out. Kaz slingshots over to give a headscissors to throw Woods. Kaz runs at Woods but his knee strike is turned into an overhead suplex! Woods throws knees into Ferrara that sit him down in the corner of the barriers. Woods gets space and runs in, to drive Ferrara into those barriers! But then, Notorious Shane Taylor appears to clobber The Goods!?

Taylor has nothing to do now that the Rebellion is broken up, so he seems to want to break the Top Prospect! He crushes Woods against the apron, then rocks him with a right hand. The Goods is out, but the match must continue. Terrible dropkicks Vinnie, Kaz gives Terrible an inverted DDT. Ferrara returns to hit a tornado DDT, Vinnie goes up to hit Redrum!

However, Vinnie rolls all the way away, Marty returns to take advantage! Marty fires up the crowd, fires them way up, and calls for the Chicken Wing! But Vinnie returns and he runs away again. Kaz runs in but Vinnie side steps to send Kaz into a corner. Vinnie runs in, Kaz puts him on the apron, Kaz anticipates the shoulder so he jumps up to give a guillotine leg drop. Kaz slingshots to the apron but has to worry about Ferrara first, he shoulders Ferrara away to hit the slingshot DDT!

Terrible returns to whip Kaz, Kaz rolls off his back, back stabber! Terrible is stood back up, Unprettier!

Vinnie is brought in for a slingshot cutter! Marty throws Kaz out, covers Vinnie, Marty steals the win! Just like a true villain!

Of course, Marty runs off when Kaz comes after him, but a win is a win. Can the Villain use brains over brawn to find his way to a title shot?
Christopher Daniels responds to Cody’s Best 2 Out of 3 Falls challenge.
“After 24 years of professional wrestling, I’ve always prided myself on never letting one loss define me.” But losing to the American Nightmare, the Fallen Angle got “a fire lit inside”! After losing that title, Daniels went up to Cody and was ready to “stomp a hole in your ass!” But the ROH admins had Daniels take some time off, cool off, think it over, and he did. Daniels realized having outbursts wouldn’t get him the title back. He will end this before it begins, so in two weeks, episode 307, it WILL be 2 out of 3 falls, Cody VS Daniels in a ROH WHC rematch!! Daniels vows to win that title back and make Cody’s life a nightmare!
The Beer City Bruiser w/ Silas Young VS Brian Milonas!

The Last Real Man rubs it in that Jay Lethal has missed 29 days (ignore that Silas hasn’t updated the sign) with his injury, but tonight is about his keg carrying compatriot going up against The Kingpin. Two big men, but who is the bigger man? BCB and Milonas don’t shake hands, they instead bump guts. Milonas’ gut has more punch, BCB and Milonas swing clotheslines, neither man falls. BCB and Milonas back up to opposite corners, run in full steam and collide, but still neither man falls. BCB tells Milonas this is his ring, Milonas runs, BCB gives chase, Milonas turns around and catches BCB!

The Kingpin uses power to throw BCB with a Fall Away Slam! The fans applaud, Silas is furious. Milonas squashes BCB in the corner, corner to corner whip, and a big back splash before then running BCB over with a clothesline. Milonas isn’t slowing down, so Silas gets up to distract. Milonas gets Silas to back off, but BCB is back up to dropkick Milonas out of the ring. Milonas gets to his feet, BCB gets to the apron, cannonball!

BCB grins as the fans rally, Silas applauds his pal. BCB gets Milonas in the ring, lets Milonas get to a corner while he taunts “Who’s the man now, huh?” BCB runs at Milonas, running haymaker. BCB trash talks, whips Milonas corner to corner, another running haymaker then a clothesline. The fans rally, “Let’s go, Kingpin!” Milonas is down in the corner, BCB rushes in, hip attack. Then another cannonball! TWO, the Kingpin is tougher than that. BCB goes over to a corner, he goes top rope. Milonas revives and rocks BCB with right hands. Milonas climbs up to join BCB, they brawl on the top rope, Milonas gets the edge. BCB resists, but it’s no use, SUPERPLEX!

TWO, and Milonas is shocked. Silas is relieved, but Milonas gets up and gets going, spin-around back senton! TWO, Milonas is still surprised. Milonas drags BCB around to a corner, Milonas climbs up to the second rope, jumps for the leg drop, but misses! BCB gets up, shotgun kick, and now BCB goes up again. Silas is the only one cheering as BCB hits a Beer City Bullfrog Splash!

BCB wins big!

Silas Young congratulates his big bruiser buddy, “night in and night out” BCB continues to impress. Tonight, BCB defeated the Kingpin. And yes, 29 days ago, BCB impressed when he side-lined “The Golden Boy” at Best in the World.

Fans can boo all they want, they mean nothing. But to be honest, Bruiser, it’s gonna be a long time before Lethal “dares show his face” on ROH TV. As the numbers keep counting up, what will Silas and the Beer City Bruiser do to ROH in Jay Lethal’s absence?
ROH World Television Championship Match: Kushida VS Jay White!

The Time Splitter got that ROH WTV title off the Villain — thanks in part to former Bullet Club member, Adam Cole — but has kept it all on his own since, and now the Kiwi Kid has stepped up to the plate. Can White overcome the man who is the ROH WTV, IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion and 2017 Best of the Super Juniors tournament winner? Fans are thunderous for Kushida, but Kushida shakes hands with White for the Code of Honor. The bell rings, White gets his chants. The two circle and tie up, White rolls and gets a wrist lock, Kushida reverses, White rolls and reverses that for a hammerlock, Kushida’s counter is blocked and White gets him on the mat. Kushida floats and slides on White, back to facelock and roll into a cover, White kicks out quick, the fans applaud this stand-off. Kushida uses a unique method to back White into a corner: he gets on the ground and kicks at with his legs. White is wary of Kushida’s ways, Kushida gets back up and they tie up. Waistlock to headlock, White powers out and shoulders Kushida down. White gets running, hip toss from Kushida, cartwheel into a dropkick. Kushida grabs White’s wrist, he stands on it in a hammerlock, and after hearing the crowd cheer, he stomps on it! Kushida endures being bent back, the fans rally, Kushida crawls and reaches out for ropes. White takes that arm and wraps it around for a half-straitjacket addition to the Muda Lock! Kushida crawls with the one good arm, ropebreak. White lets go, he gets Kushida up, Kushida starts fighting back with body shots and chops. White ends up in a corner, Kushida rushes in but White dodges. Roll up rolled through, White gives Kushida a chop. White runs, Kushida hits a rolling kick to send White tumbling out of the ring. Kushida lines it up, gains speed, and FLIES!

The fans are fired up for Kushida, the Time Splitter drags White up and puts him in the ring. Kushida stalks from behind, Penalty Kick misses but Kushida gives a knee. Kushida gets running, White jumps over and then runs Kushida over with a back elbow. White and Kushida end up in opposite corners, White runs at Kushida for a running European Uppercut, then a suplex. Roll through, dos amigos! Roll through, Kushida denies tres amigos to wrench White’s arm but White slip through to reverse the hammerlock, to suplex Kushida into the corner! TWO, White is surprised. The fans rally, White deadlifts Kushida up but Kushida throws elbows fast and furious to weaken the hold. Kushida wrenches White’s arm, Hoverboard Kimura!

White is fading, and can’t even make it into a cover, so he powers up to lift Kushida. Kushida wrenches that arm all over, but White uses more power to get out of it, and he suplexes Kushida up. Kushida slips out of the suplex, White uses his good arm to give a chop. Kushida goes for a fastball, White ducks to hit a complete shot! Deadlift German Suplex pin, TWO! To the Kimura! White crawls and gets a ropebreak, Kushida has to let go, we go to one last break.

Kushida gets up and swings at shadows, White chops him. White hops up, Kushida stuns him with a swing kick. Kushida climbs up, White fights back, they brawl on the top rope. White fires off until Kushida gets the kimura! Kushida climbs up, maintaining that submission hold, SUPER ARM DRAG!

To put on the Hoverboard!! White endures, he crawls and reaches for ropes, Kushida rolls him around, Back to the Future!

Kushida finally wins! Kushida has all the accolades he has for good reason.

But coming down the ramp behind the medics with their ice packs, is Kenny King. Another former member of the Rebellion, Kenny applauds this amazing match. Kushida and White shake hands, respect between great wrestlers. Kenny raises Kushida’s hand, but reminds Kushida that he’s next in line for the ROH WTVC. Can he be the one to overcome the highly decorated Time Splitter?

My Thoughts:
So much great wrestling this episode. ROH does something you hardly get anywhere else: a great match involving lots of great stars, for no real reason. There was lots of story going on in that opening Six Man Mayhem match, such as Kaz wanting after the Bullet Club’s Marty, Vinnie and El Terrible keeping the feud of The Kingdom and CMLL alive, and Ferrara trying to make a name for himself with his new Heel attitude, but it was a great match regardless. I did not expect Shane Taylor to come out and wreck Josh Woods, but that makes for a great feud going forward. And Marty is truly an evil genius, waiting for the right moment to win the match without having to risk anything, I sense that while Cody-Daniels is the world title feud, Scurll-Kaz is the secondary so that Bullet Club VS The Addiction can still happen as a tag match down the line. And with the huge announcement of Cody-Daniels best 2 outta 3 “for free” in a couple weeks, that is major for ROH TV in a time when WWE is really stepping it up for their summer programming. The second match of the night was also great, a battle of agile hosses with heavy impact spots, good stuff. The Kingpin has potential, but the story was Bruiser getting a literally big win, and then Silas trolling Jay Lethal. This is definitely going to build to a major moment that is Lethal’s return to run through Silas and Bruiser, maybe taking Bruiser out of action before getting a grudge match blow-off with Silas.
The main event was a legit main event. They go the distance, great story of Kushida going after White’s arm, and it’s a clean finish. Jay White came so close, what with the Kiwi Krusher, but how could Kushida lose when he has so much going for him all at once? For that matter, Kenny King coming out and being respectful — mostly — but I’m sure that won’t last, unless Kenny’s character is turning over a new leaf now that he isn’t in the Rebellion. However, without getting dirty or having special stipulations, I don’t see Kenny winning against Kushida, either. It’ll surely be something comparable to all the great ROH WTVC matches since Marty Scurll had it and went on a streak, but the joint ROH WTVC/IWGP Jr. HC/Mr. Super Junior 2017 is not going to lose clean to Kenny King.
My Score: 8/10
