3 things I found interesting this week

One: How to build a network at scale: I’m aware that there are some super-targeted, tech enabled ways of doing recruitment, this post shows how a similar approach can be applied to networks. Some good methods here that could be applied to other areas too.

Two: There’s a lot of debate on accelerators and incubators and the real value they add. I believe that whilst the chances of a Unicorn being born in more than a handful are minute, they can provide a lot of great lessons and learning. If you’re looking to join one, look with your eyes wide open, understand exactly what you get, from whom and what you’re giving away.

Three: Analytical versus creative — This is a great exploration of creativity and insight, those “eureka” moments and how to optimise your brain to make them more likely to happen. Much of my experience verifies a lot of this study’s results, it was interesting to read the recommendations and apply it to real life situations.
