Starting 2019, Team YGGDRASH will gather and respond to the questions of the YGGDRASHers on a quarterly basis. The Team will carefully read all the questions and try to answer them in the most sincere manner. Please understand that although we want to completely open up to the community, there are some questions the Team might not be able to answer due to the nature of the information. Similar questions can be combined and answered for your convenience.
In this Q&A, the Team has answered a list of questions collected from January 11th to January 16th from the YGGDRASH Telegram communities (Korean and English).
1. I would like to know what the ultimate goal of YGGDRASH is. Apart from just a comprehensive and abstract network concept or explanation, I am curious about what kind of work you plan to do in which position of the market in detail- whether globally or just in Korean crypto network.
YGGDRASH’s ultimate goal is to apply blockchain technology in all industries and make all the trades transparent and reasonable through YGGDRASH.
The Team believes that YGGDRASH is being undervalued in the market, compared to our actual technical abilities. In fact, YGGDRASH is listed among the most successful and well-developed blockchain projects in Coincodecap.com. Therefore, the Team has a strong belief that YGGDRASH will prove its real value in the near future.
Just like how YouTube, Uber, and Airbnb became the standard platforms of their own industries, YGGDRASH will not stop until the day YGGDRASH becomes the standard of blockchain platform!
2. Will I be able to run a node on my Raspberry Pi?
It is possible if you are the master node. It may need some testings, but the Team believes that it would be possible because the size of the blocks will be smaller through the Akashic Record and the Block Box.
3. What progress has been made with DEXRADE?
YGGDRASH is currently developing DEXRADE system and running simulations for its Token Economy.
4. Does YGGDRASH have plans to develop their own DApps?
Yes, the Team has plans to develop its own DApps.
5. Will YGGDRASH partner with companies outside of South Korea in the near future?
Yes, YGGDRASH plans to expand partnerships with various companies all over the world. Since the achievement of a high rank at Coincodecap, there are many foreign companies who have been showing interest in our project.
6. What incentive do node holders have to run a node other than reputation score?
The node holders get the authority to participate in YGGDRASH governance policy decisions. For example, they can decide on issuance or incineration of YEED.
7. How much YEED is needed to run a node?
YGGDRASH’s consensus algorithm is not a subsidiary of POS, so you do not need YEED to run a node.
8. What are the biggest technical challenges and how do you intend to solve them?
The Team is always trying to find the best way to blend the goals and the vision of YGGDRASH into its mainnet, and to find out which technology would help us to fulfill those goals rather than thinking of the technical challenges.
9. Can I trade in KRW in your new exchange, DEXRADE?
We cannot provide a firm answer because DEXRADE is still under development. More information can be disclosed at the future DEXRADE Meetup.
10. Is there a guarantee that success of YGGDRASH platform would also lead to rising in token prices?
The Team does not define the success of a platform service by counting the number of DApps it has. YGGDRASH aims to create an ecosystem which is filled with DApps that can actually help solve the existing issues and the end users who actively make the use of those DApps.
Moreover, the Team believes that creating a useful platform that helps society is one of the key success factors in a business. On top of that, technical abilities, the platform’s right direction, and its high performance are what heightens the value of YGGDRASH, and we believe these factors would attract attention from the project investors and its users as well.
If this virtuous circle continues, we would expect a positive impact on the token prices as well.
11. Why did you disable the YEED deposits in Bitsonic?
Ever since the listing took place, too many quantities of YEED moved to Bitsonic, which was nearly 3 times the quantity of ICO’s. Having the most amount of available YEED in just one exchange was not the ideal picture the Team aimed for; additionally, we concluded that it could be a major problem in creating YGGDRASH’s blockchain ecosystem, which is the reason the Team decided to disable the deposits. An official announcement will be made if there are any changes to the Bitsonic.
12. When can I run the Testnet?
It may be in this quarter. Please wait for a further notice regarding the confirmed schedule.
