Gam3Girl Ventures Makes Strategic Investment in YGG to Onboard More Communities to Web3

The Asia-focused Web3 gaming incubation fund Gam3Girl Ventures, led by founder FD, has joined the YGG ecosystem after acquiring YGG tokens directly from the market. Gam3Girl is focused on projects that propel gaming into the future through blockchain, supporting Web2 developers as they transition to Web3. Through this partnership, YGG and Gam3Girl are well-positioned to onboard more games to Web3 and drive the growth of organic communities around new game releases.

The Gam3Girl Ventures fund was raised from prominent Web3 investors, including Axie Infinity co-founders Jeffrey “Jihoz” Zirlin, Aleksander “Psycheout” Larsen, and Trung Nguyen, and leading VCs such as BITKRAFT Ventures, OKX Ventures, Arrington Capital, Mantle, and more.

FD was a corporate investment executive for one of the world’s leading gaming companies based out of Asia. During her tenure, her team led venture investments into social, gaming communities, AI and Web3, totaling an AUM of several hundreds of million dollars, and also spearheaded corporate-level Web3 strategic planning. By combining network, insights, and resources from both Web2 and Web3, Gam3Girl is committed to onboarding more quality talents into Web3, and to pushing the frontier of Web3 gaming.

A long-time supporter of YGG’s mission, FD was invited to speak at the YGG Play Summit in November, where she discussed how games and memes play into the future of Web3. She later wrote about her Summit experience, highlighting YGG’s success in cultivating organic communities.
