GAP Season 9: Gear Up for Even More Guild Quests and a New Rewards Map
Season 9 of the Guild Advancement Program (GAP) is finally here, introducing a brand-new Rewards Map for hardcore questers and more fun challenges lined up for Onchain Guilds.
Questers will sink their teeth into 12 of the hottest titles in Web3, including three new games joining the roster in partnership with HyperPlay and three returning hits from Immutable. YGG Future of Work (FoW) partners Navigate and Sapien will return to open up more opportunities for the community in the realm of AI, machine learning and DePIN. YGG Pilipinas is also running a campaign kicked off by the Metaverse Filipino Worker (MFW) short film, inviting MFWs everywhere to share the story of their Web3 journey.
Get Started with Vibes, MetaCene, Aurory, and More
With 12 games on deck, casual gamers, budding esports athletes, and MMORPG maxis alike will have a new game to dive into in Season 9.
Coming to GAP for the first time this season is Vibes, the Web3 trading card game (TCG) that’s captured the hearts of pros like YGG Esports’ very own Sequinox. Since its initial release in December 2024, the Pudgy Penguins TCG has delighted Web3 gamers around the world with its cute characters and compelling gameplay mechanics.
YGG has also partnered with the Web3-native game store HyperPlay to bring three new titles into the GAP lineup. Standout additions include the sci-fi MMORPG MetaCene and the battle royale-inspired social game Party Icons, which have featured heavily in the YGG community’s rotation of well-loved games. The fantasy MMORPG Ember Sword on HyperPlay is another highly anticipated game coming to GAP, building on the hype from its Early Access launch in December 2024.
Other community favorites joining the lineup include the monster battler RPG Aurory: Seekers of Tokane, the retro 16-bit RPG DeFi Kingdoms, and the casual fishing simulator Fishing Frenzy. Following the positive reception of Immutable’s offerings from Season 8, Immortal Rising 2, Mystery Society, and RavenQuest are rejoining this season, alongside returning GAP classics Anichess and Nifty Island.
There will also be a new batch of bounties from Future of Work (FoW) partners, with Navigate and Sapien quests available to explore at the season’s launch, and more to be announced soon. FoW participants are welcome to collaborate, share knowledge, and help each other master new skills in data labeling, AI training, DePIN tasks, and more. As the Onchain Guilds platform continues to gain momentum, this could be the season for a new wave of guilds specializing in the skills of the future.
Blaze Through a New Rewards Map with Your Onchain Guild
GAP Season 9 shines an even bigger spotlight on Onchain Guilds, offering a greater variety of guild quests to cater to communities of all types and sizes. Guilds can expect quests for most of the games in the lineup, set to launch in March.
Further improvements will also be introduced to the Onchain Guilds platform. This includes easier navigation on guild pages, improved visibility of guild achievements on member profiles, more granular guild management tools, and UI tweaks across the board to ensure a smoother experience on all devices.
The Rewards Center will continue to spice up the community’s questing experience, introducing a new Rewards Map for those who crossed the finish line in Season 8. Soon after the Season 9 launch, questers will find a fresh set of token rewards to claim as they finish their quests and collect YGG points.
The Stake House is also getting a big update this season to go with the new Rewards Map. A new calculation will give players a higher multiplier compared to past seasons. This increase will apply to all stakers, including those who already have YGG tokens in their Stake House vault. GAP Season 9 also raises the staking cap to 20,0000 YGG tokens, allowing questers to gain a maximum multiplier of 5x — up from 3.5x in previous seasons.
Those who use their YGG token rewards to claim a Premium Pass can complete Premium Quests for exclusive in-game items, custom skins, and a sizable stack of YGG points. Questers can also grow their rewards by joining the newly launched YGG-RON liquidity pool farming rewards program on Katana.
Share Your MFW Story
YGG’s mission of onboarding millions to the open Metaverse began in the Philippines, the birthplace of the play-to-earn revolution. At the YGG Play Summit, YGG held the red-carpet premiere for the short film Metaverse Filipino Worker, which sheds light on the alternative career paths that YGG Pilipinas community members have been able to pursue thanks to Web3, inspiring the rest of the world to follow their lead.
For many Filipinos, working abroad as an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) isn’t a choice, but a necessity driven by low wages and limited opportunities at home. Web3 offers Filipinos a new option — the path of the Metaverse Filipino Worker (MFW). As part of a campaign kicked off by the short film, GAP Season 9 will include MFW bounty quests, inviting MFWs to watch the film on BeraBucks and share their stories to grow the movement.
