Mint Your YGG Guild Badge on Polygon

The YGG Guild Badge is coming to Polygon, and it can now be minted on the YGG dapp.

In an effort to make the YGG Guild Badge more accessible to members, YGG has opted to use the Polygon network as a more cost-effective alternative that will allow members to mint at lower transaction costs.

Please note that members with a YGG Guild Badge on Ethereum can’t mint the Guild Badge on Polygon with the same wallet.

The YGG Guild Badge symbolizes membership in the guild and is set to have utility in the YGG ecosystem as YGG introduces more features and support for other games in the future. As of now, YGG has over 23,300 Guild Badge holders since the launch of the YGG Guild Badge on Ethereum.

With the release of the YGG Guild Badge on Polygon, members can enjoy the same perks as Ethereum Guild Badge holders, such as:

• Access the YGG dapp and exclusive channels on YGG Discord
• Access YGG’s Reward Vaults program
• Participate in the Guild Advancement Program (GAP)
• Sign up for esports content and events
• Enroll on the educational platform Web3 Metaversity for free
• Get a discount on tickets to the Philippines Web3 fest

YGG will continue to provide value to Guild Badge holders as it develops more product and community initiatives and partnerships.

The new badge artwork was created by Sushinobi, who also designed the original YGG Guild Badge and the Sword and Shield NFTs.

“For the Polygon Guild Badge, we wanted to combine elements from YGG NFTs that I have designed previously, such as the YGG Guild Badge and the YGG Sword and Shield NFTs,” said Sushinobi. “My main aim was to create a cohesive medieval aesthetic while at the same time creating something new, he added.

How to Mint the YGG Guild Badge on Polygon:

Log in to your Ethereum wallet from your browser.

1. Go to the Yield Guild dapp (https://yieldguild.io) and click “Connect Wallet”. You will need to confirm the connection in your browser wallet as you usually would.
2. Once your wallet is connected, choose “Click here to start your adventure” in the YGG dapp.
3. If you don’t have the original Ethereum Guild Badge, you will see the Polygon Guild Badge has been deployed to https://yieldguild.io/.
4. You will need to switch your wallet from Ethereum Network to Polygon Network to proceed with the minting. If using Metamask, you will need to open the wallet and change the drop-down from Ethereum to Polygon. If you have not connected to the Polygon network, you can find instructions on how to do that on the Polygon wiki.
5. If you already have the original Ethereum Guild Badge, the YGG site will remain the same to you as you cannot have an Ethereum badge and Polygon badge in the same wallet. This is to prevent double minting unnecessarily. If you want both versions of the Guild Badge, you can still get the new Polygon Guild Badge using a new wallet without an existing YGG Ethereum Guild Badge.
6. To mint the YGG Guild Badge on Polygon, click “Mint Badge”. Upon clicking “Mint Badge” you will need to confirm the transaction in your wallet. There is no cost for minting, and will only require you to pay the minimal transaction fee.
7. Once the transaction is confirmed you should receive a confirmation from your chosen wallet.
8. Your Polygon Guild Badge should appear in the YGG dapp dashboard.

Polygon Guild Badge holders can navigate to the #claim-your-roles channel in the YGG Discord and interact with the Collab Land bot to get the Badge holder role.
