YGG and Base Collaborate to Onboard the Masses into On-chain Gaming Through Quests

Yield Guild Games (YGG) is bringing its gaming ecosystem to Base, an Ethereum Layer 2 (L2) project incubated by Coinbase. By deploying its quest platform on Base, YGG aims to work with Base and game publishers on Base to create more specific and engaging quests, delivering more rewarding experiences for YGG players and the growing on-chain gaming ecosystem.

Base is a secure and low-cost Ethereum L2 solution built to introduce the next million users to blockchain ecosystems. The protocol aims to progressively decentralize in the coming years, as the team believes that decentralization is the key to creating an open and accessible global crypto economy. Base offers an easy-to-use platform for developers to build dapps, reaching millions of verified users in the Coinbase ecosystem and helping onboard new users on-chain.

The Ethereum L2 has opened for bridging, allowing all builders to familiarize themselves with the protocol through various bridging quests. The Base public mainnet is now live, starting August 9, 2023.

YGG is one of the projects that has deployed its dapp within the time frame to receive the Genesis Builder NFT, a commemorative token that recognizes early partners building on the Base protocol. Designed by digital 3D artist Klara Vollstaedt, the NFT also is designed to grant recipient teams access to Discord channel with the Base team to facilitate seamless on-chain collaboration.
