Yield Guild Games Acquires a Marquee Shop in the RFOX VALT
YGG has established itself as a Marquee client in the RFOX VALT, revealing its latest partnership with RedFOX Labs (RFOX), an emerging tech venture builder based in Southeast Asia, that creates innovative products and services within the digital economy in order to drive mass adoption of emerging technologies, such as cryptocurrencies and blockchain. With its public game beta release launching in November, KOGs SLAM! 1st Edition is the first step of RFOX Games’ foray into the exciting and rapidly expanding realm of gaming and digital collectibles, where YGG will be a major participant in the closed beta testing of the game.
YGG participated in a 200K USD worth of YGG/RFOX token swap. YGG has also acquired one of two Marquee Brand SHOPs in the RFOX VALT Gaming Quarter. Through this acquisition, YGG will have a SHOP that people can visit to interact with the community, collect NFTs, play games, and much more, all in VR.
YGG will also receive a Megamoon NFT, which will allow access to all standard events in the VALT for a period of 3 years. All SHOPs will be NFTs, and SHOP owners will have full ownership rights of the SHOP and may choose to operate their own SHOP or rent it out to someone else.
With the help of YGG’s reach in the play-to-earn community and its large player-base, RFOX will be able to test and expand its game. This partnership will add to YGG’s growing roster of play-to-earn games and will present an opportunity for players to earn yield while applying for scholarships at YGG.
Unlike other play-to-earn games that require a substantial upfront investment, KOGs SLAM! is completely free to play. “Our games will always be designed with digital and financial inclusion in mind”, said Ben Fairbank, CEO, and Founder of RFOX Labs.
KOGs SLAM! introduces a play-to-earn model to millions of users in the Southeast Asian region where players can win KOGs and KOINS (in-game tokens) from daily missions and tournaments, right from the get-go, and trade their winnings for real-life earnings.
KOGs (Keys to Other Games) are collectible, playable, tradable, slammable, NFTs that can be used only on the WAX blockchain. KOGs SLAM! is a blockchain mobile game with rules similar to the POGs game, a 90s phenomenon, but in an evolved digital form that uses NFT collectibles as game pieces to play with and earn rewards.
The goal of the game is for players to reinvest a portion of their rewards back into the game to customize their collection. KOGs act as in-game currency which can unlock tournaments and skins, and provide VIP access to special events and virtual metaverses.
KOGs are available in Starter Packs and Booster Packs which can be bought, sold, or traded for KOGs within a complementary peer-to-peer marketplace. Collecting sets can also yield RFOX rewards through staking and special access to the RFOX VALT. The RFOX VALT provides a fully immersive experience by combining shopping, retail, and gaming elements in a virtual reality metaverse.
