Bharati G. Parekh College Scholarship

2011, marked the 10-year anniversary of the passing of Bharati Parekh. She was a caring, selfless mother who touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She was a bright woman, educated as a chemist and finishing at the top of her class in Gujarat! Always with a smile, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and human, seeing the best in everything. This year will be the 3rd year for the “Bharati G. Parekh College Scholarship.”

Eligibility This scholarship will be awarded to any student in the United States who is a senior in high school or a current college student, who will be actively enrolled in college as of September 2013. The student must be of Indian origin, and must demonstrate academic and personal excellence.

Amount The one-time $1,000.00 check will be awarded to help defray the cost of tuition, room and board, or books.

Announcement of Scholar The scholar will be announced and notified on July 1, 2013
