YJA is helping with a special educational project to take Jain education into the 21st century. Currently we need volunteers to read and edit short, 1–3 page lessons across all age categories. No specific knowledge of Jain tenets is necessary; these lessons were written by adults who were not born and brought up here, and they need your suggestions to make them sound more reader-friendly to the Indian-American youth.

This is a great way to give back to the Jain community, have a voice in deciding what’s important to the Jain education of future generations, and learn some things along the way!

If you are interested in this project, email Priyal Gandhi, Director of Education at priyal.gandhi@yja.org. We are also looking for members to join the YJA Education Committee, and we welcome any volunteers who would just like to help with one or two tasks. Hope to hear from you soon!
