Então estava eu muito feliz no meio de todas as dificuldades do Brasil, matando um leão por dia, mas com força de um touro e visão de uma águia quando apareceu uma oportunidade. Uma aplicação para ser o representante do YLAI 2016 no Summit (fechamento) do YLAI 2017. Portfólio esse que foi estrelado pelo Forbes Hall of Fame, Richard Branson, ano passado. A pessoa que inventou a palavra empreendedorismo. Simplesmente fantástico. Pensei, o que tenho a perder? Vou me inscrever!
So I was very happy in the midst of all the difficulties in Brazil, “smashing the daily lion”, but with the strength of a bull and the focus of an eagle when an opportunity showed up. An application to be the speaker of YLAI 2016 at the YLAI 2017 Summit. It featured someone from the Forbes Hall of Fame, Richard Branson, last year. The person who invented the word entrepreneurship. Simply amazing. I thought, what do I have to lose? I’ll sign up!
Foi então que completei a aplicação com minha apresentação já alinhadinha e o vídeo que meu amigo Diego Juvêncio editou rapidamente para que pudesse submeter. Um vídeo que eu falava o porquê que eu gostaria e deveria estar lá no Summit. Também pedi ao meu amigo e parceiro Nick Sacco que foi meu placement host em San Diego, CA, por 1 mês, para que fizesse um vídeo falando o porquê eu deveria estar lá e um pouquinho da experiência que tivemos entre a Connect English, SD — USA, e American Insight, Macaé — RJ , BRA. Meu amigo e parceiro Leonardo Abreu, um autêntico Insighter, que me ajudou a gravar o vídeo.
Then, I completed the application with my already aligned presentation and the video that my friend Diego Juvêncio edited quickly so that I could submit it. A video that I talked about why I wanted to and should be at the Summit. I also asked my friend and partner Nick Sacco, who was my placement host in San Diego, CA for 1 month, to record why I should be there and a little bit of the experience we had between Connect English, SD — USA, and American Insight, Macaé — RJ, BRA. My friend and partner Leonardo Abreu, an authentic Insighter, helped me record the video.
Pronto, cartas na mesa, esperava só que meu deck estivesse alinhado com as probabilidades do dealer. E, para a minha surpresa e felicidade, estarei sendo o único representante da América Latina e Caribe no YLAI Summit 2017. Chorei, gritei, abracei a primeira pessoa que estava na minha frente e mais uma vez as minhas esperanças se renovaram e me afirmaram que eu tenho trilhado o caminho correto.
All set, deck of cards on the table, I just hoped that my deck was in line with the dealer’s odds. And to my surprise and happiness, I will be the only representative of Latin America and the Caribbean at the YLAI Summit 2017. I cried, shouted, hugged the first person in front of me, and once again my hopes renewed; they told me that I’ve been walking the right path.
Sou extremamente grato e sempre serei a todos os meus stakeholders e main characters: Jesus Cristo, meus pais, minha futura esposa, meus mentores, meus colaboradores, meus clientes, meus amigos, meus parceiros, meus fornecedores, State Department, Shell, YLAI…. Quando eu entrar no palco, vocês podem ter certeza que todos estarão sendo representados e vou dar o meu melhor para impactar, inspirar e motivar cada pessoa que ouvir cada palavra que sair da minha boca.
I am extremely grateful and always will be to all my stakeholders and main characters: Jesus Christ, my parents, my future wife, my mentors, my Insighters, my clients, my friends, my partners, my suppliers, State Department, Shell, YLAI … . When I step onto the stage, you can be sure that everyone will be represented and I will do my best to impact, inspire and motivate each person who listens to each word that comes out of my mouth.
Não vim ao mundo para passar, mas para viver, para deixar um legado, para transformar pessoas.
I did not come into the world to pass by, but to live, to leave a legacy, to transform people.
