Is Gold worth investing over Stocks in 20 years?

Inspired by the article showcasing the Stock Market perfomance posted by Jeff Desjardins in VisualCapital, I have analysed the Gold price annual change over the years and produced the following chart using R language.
I have obtained the gold price data from 1969 to 2018 from Macrotrends.
The facets on the right show the 5-year, 10-year, and then 20-year rolling periods. Similar to the Stock Market returns even for Gold price annual change, the frequency of losses rapidly decrease as the timeframes get longer. But still there are four instances that have negative change in the 20-year window, whereas the Stock Market returns had none.
