Office Hours!
The newest Yodel feature is called Office Hours and it is exactly what it stands for: You can now let us know your hours of operation and accordingly to them, Yodel takes care of your callers!
We decided to implement the office hours feature, so you have even more ways in personalizing Yodel to fit your businesses needs. Let Yodel know when someone is available to take calls and otherwise inform callers of your hours of operation.
It is as easy as it gets: Select the time slots that match your business hours or hours that you are available to take calls. As the selections turns green, Yodel knows that somebody is available to talk to incoming callers through these time periods. The time you have not selected, will become your “after hours” and you can set up Yodel’s feature “announcement only” to tell incoming callers that you are not available at the time. The missed calls will be displayed in your Slack channel.

Pro-tip: The “announcement only” feature can be paired with Yodel’s “voicemail” feature. This lets Yodel know to send callers to voicemail outside your available time. Next time you log into Slack, you can read up on your missed calls and if you would like to, also listen to the voicemails that were left. You can find them right in the thread of the missed call as well as saved to your Yodel call log.
Small-Business hack: If you are a one-man-show, think about your lunch break and keep these times unselected as well.
