After a period of speculation, it was announced on 12/1 that Slack was going to be acquired by the cloud-based software company Salesforce. While exciting, Salesforce has said that the deal isn’t expected to close until the second quarter of Salesforce’s fiscal year in 2022.

With Yodel, we have had a longstanding relationship with Slack, where we have been able to offer a business phone solution that integrates and directly lives in Slack. We started integrating into Slack already back in 2015, and have since continuously improved the product for Slack users. We have loved being able to give our Slack enthusiasts the ability to combine their phone system into Slack and worked together with the Slack Platform team to always ensure the highest possible value for their users.

From our point of view, the Salesforce deal sounds very exciting and we don’t fear any direct negative influence for the product. We are taking good care to ensure that you will be able to continue using Yodel with Slack for a long time.

So our users will not experience any changes…

Well, except for a new addition to the Yodel capabilities. We have been working on a Salesforce integration, and this acquisition gives us the perfect excuse to tease it to you all!

The upcoming integration is a part of our commitment to consistently deliver tech-savvy, time saving, convenient solutions for businesses around the globe.

We are excited for the future of Slack, Salesforce, and of course, Yodel.
