5th day of #navratri is Mother Skandamata … mother #Skandamata is four-armed, three-eyed, and rides on a #lion. One of her hands is in the fear-dispelling #abhayamudra position while the other is used to hold the infant form of her son #Skanda on her lap. Her remaining two hands are typically shown holding #lotus #flowers. She is #Padamasani … She is the #goddess of #Vishuddhi #Chakra … She is #deity of #creativity … vishuddhi chakra is known as the purification center, where the #nectar #amrita drips down from the bindu chakra and is split into a pure form and a poison … in its most abstract form, it is associated with higher discrimination and is associated with creativity and self-expression … when vishuddhi is closed, decay and death happens … when it is open, experiences are transformed into #wisdom and #learning#meditation upon this chakra brings siddhis — #vision of the three periods, past, present and future; #freedom from disease; destruction of dangers; and the ability to move the three worlds … closely related to vishuddha is a minor chakra, located in the roof of the mouth, called #lalana … a red circular #moon region, which acts as a reservoir for the nectar #amrit … when vishuddha is inactive, this nectar is allowed to run downwards into #manipura and consumed … o mother you are symbol of the #creativity, #purity, #manifestation, unconditional #love and acceptance … nurture me … सिम्हासनगता नित्यम् पद्माश्रितकरद्वया शुभदास्तु सदा देवी स्कन्दमाता यशस्विनी ॥ … O Devi, please bestow your auspicious #blessings on me, always !!!
