If you’ve been to San Diego, you know the feeling that overwhelms you looking at the beautiful cliffs in secluded Black Beach. That feeling of freedom & endless opportunity. Looking at these cliffs, we’re reminded almost instantly of the passion that sparked the creation of yoganect: that using technology mindfully, we can show the vast & open opportunities for businesses and enthusiasts who love yoga.

Co-founders of yoganect Elnura & Rene with Paloma from Rock Your Yoga Retreat in San Diego.

Our next stop on our yoganect California Roadshow is beautiful San Diego. As soon as we arrived, we were very excited to meet Paloma, a mom, business owner, and travel-yogini. She is the best in the industry helping yoga instructors plan their dream retreats & create thriving yoga businesses.

‘I’m passionate about helping yoga instructors plan their dream retreats and grow thriving yoga business.’

There are thousands of yoga retreats on the market happening every day around the world. As a yoga student, you might wonder how to possibly choose between them. On the other side of the wall are the yoga professionals creating those retreats. Many yoga professionals struggle to build a financially sustainable career that supports them as a yoga teacher. Particularly those who want to host a retreat can sometimes find it difficult to make the jump from simply planning to putting it all into practice.

This is what Paloma sets as a goal: to help teachers and other professionals to plan transformational yoga retreats by offering tools & knowledge a sustainable business in alignment with their goals and dreams. Paloma believes that yoga teachers, as much as any other hard-working professional, deserve to feel economically secure and supported in their career path of choice.

How did she get here? Paloma always had a passion for traveling and yoga, but she never quite fit into the many other careers and pathways she tried. So, she decided to do what she loved — which was planning yoga retreats. Her company Rock Your Yoga Retreat has helped many teachers learn more about the budgeting, marketing and planning processes for creating these journeys. Once she discovered she loved helping with just the retreat building process, it was only a little leap to also help yoga teachers build their businesses and careers.

When she isn’t creating incredible retreats, Paloma loves to practice yoga herself — especially any kind of twist. Relatable, right? And when she’s on the go, give her a cup of black coffee any day of the week.

We love Paloma’s approach to focus on building communities that so important for creating & maintaining a retreat. Thank you, Paloma for sharing your ideas & insights and inspiring us. Looking forward to see you on yoganect pages very soon. Namaste!
