Last weekend, around 30,000 yogis gathered from all around the world to spend a weekend in London. Why you might ask? Last weekend was the Om Yoga Show, the biggest yoga gathering in Europe! So, it was only fitting that we at yoganect packed our bags and headed to London to connect with some incredible yogis while exploring the amazing city.

Om Yoga Show in London, October 19–21, 2018

What was the Om Yoga Show?

The Om Yoga Show was a three day gathering for yogis, yoga teachers, businesses and newcomers. The event was hosted in Alexandra Palace, offered drop-in classes, bookable workshops, access to special yoga and lifestyle brands, along with healthy living and yoga inspiration

We had our own stand with the show — but the fun didn’t just stop there. Some of our amazing partners were there to share it with us! Some collaborated with us to use our stand like Giulio Benati from Yantra Yoga, Brett Moran, Pillar de Miguel from Beleatric Retreats and Udaya Entertainment. Not only did we have an amazing time meeting and connecting with so many partners, but we also were incredibly inspired by their products and spirit!

Some of our other partners even presented at the show! Sarah Highfield from Yogagise Yoga taught an amazing class called ‘Energise Through Yoga’ where she brought even more excitement to the stage and the conference. Brett Moran shared his transformative experience in ‘Wake the F**k Up*. Kelly Brooks from CLUB Yoga rocked the stage with her flow yoga class. Niraj Shah shared his thoughts on digital sanity and how to use technology mindfully.

But our stand wasn’t the only place we were able to meet our partners.

When we weren’t talking about yoganect and our exciting upcoming retreat in South Africa, we wandered around the conference and met some of our partners that hosted their own stand. We met Natalie from Yummy Yoga Girl, Christina from Free Spirit, and our partners from Abakus Foods and Matcha Now. Even better? We got to explore and meet new potential partners and connect with yogis from all around the world who all have their amazing practice in common.

Visiting the Om Yoga Show was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and it’s a reality that we wish we could live in all the time! It was an amazing three days where we were able to live full of yoga, mindfulness and connect with other great souls. This is the kind of environment we want to recreate virtually on yoganect, a special shala where like-minded businesses, biomechanics experts and bliss-workers can network and learn in one place.
