Transformational Summer Challenge: Day 5
Start a summer experience jar
Our task for this Sunday is to start a summer experience jar. Find an old jar (or a box if you don’t have a jar) and then decorate it. When the jar is ready, write down your first interesting experience of this summer, fold the paper and place it in the jar. If you aren’t sure what to write, you can mention participating in this challenge!
Throughout the summer, whenever you do something fun, interesting or exciting, write it down and put it in the jar. Get your family involved as well if you can — you can all write down things you experienced together.
Even though we tend to have more exciting experiences during the summer, we also tend to forget them as the time goes on. All that is left is a vague memory of a good time that we wish we could go back to. With a summer experience jar, your summer memories will be stored and you will always be able to come back to them if you need a boost of positive energy later on. As you gradually fill your jar with memories, you will have a physical representation of how much you can be grateful for in your life.
