IoT

IoT or Internet of Things refers to the network of everyday objects, devices, and machines connected to the internet or each other over a local network and can exchange data. These objects, from household appliances and wearable devices to industrial sensors and vehicles, have embedded devices with relevant software and other technologies that allow them to collect and share information.

Think of it as a “smart” home where your thermostat, lights, and even your refrigerator can communicate with each other and with you through the internet. This interconnectedness enables devices to gather data, make automated decisions, and have remote controlling ability. While IoT offers convenience and efficiency, it also raises security and privacy concerns, as these devices can be easy targets for hacking if not adequately secured.
