Japanese local food : Let’s Try to Cook Chicken-Nanban!
One of the most popular local dishes in Miyazaki

Chicken Nanban is a fried chicken seasoned with Japanese sweet source and tartar source. It’s a famous local dish of Miyazaki in Kyushu area. This time, I’d like to share the recipe! Let’s try to cook it with me!:)
<Main>
Chicken Thigh : 250g
egg : 1
flour : 2 tbsp
<Sauce>
Soy-sauce : 2 tbsp
Vinegar : 2 tbsp
Sugar : 2 tbsp
A pinch of Salt & Pepper
<Other>
Tartar source (if you like)
1. Cut chicken into bite-size pieces

2. Rub chicken in flour

3. Dip them in mixed egg

4. Deep-fried checken in vegetable oil

5. When the chicken is heated sufficiently, pick them up from pan.
6. Microwave all of <sauce> ingredients

7. Wipe off excess oil in the pan and put chicken in it again.

8. Pour the sauce and boil down…

9. Serve on a plate and dress with tartar source
