How to Participate in the YOLOrekt Token Issuance

In 24 hours the YOLOrekt Token Issuance will kick off, running a first-of-its-kind synced dual token issuance. This means participants can participate using Ethereum (ETH) on Ethereum (Mainnet) or wETH on Polygon (MATIC). The YOLO Token Issuance event starts Tuesday, July 13 at 9 am PDT (16:00 UTC) and lasts for 72 hours. Here is a guide to help you participate:

Step 1: Download and use a web3 Wallet
We recommend using Metamask for all DeFi dApps, regardless of the chain. New users can download and configure Metamask from 👉🏻 here 👈🏻
Once you are set up with a web3 wallet, you will need to add or transfer ETH in order to participate. Being that our token issuance is on both Ethereum and Polygon (MATIC), you can use either wrapped Ether (wETH) on MATIC or native Ether (ETH) on Ethereum. The following guide will help you understand how to participate on either chain. We recommend using wETH (MATIC) since the fees are next to nothing, and the YOLOrekt dApp will run on MATIC.
Step 2: Participating in the YOLOrekt YOLO Token Issuance
Using Ethereum (Mainnet):
First, you’ll want to navigate to YOLOrekt.finance and connect your wallet (Metamask)

Once connected you will be able to contribute as much ETH (Ethereum) as you like in exchange for your portion of the YOLO.
Once the token sale has finished, participants must wait until the YOLOrekt dApp launches or 60 days, whichever comes first.
Using Polygon (MATIC):
Since Metamask does not come out of the box with the Matic Network installed, you must manually add it by following these steps:
- Click on the network selection button on the top of the app
- Click on the “Custom RPC”
- Select “Custom RPC.”
👉 For more details on configuring Matic on Metamask: https://docs.matic.network/docs/develop/metamask/config-matic/
Enter the Polygon (MATIC) mainnet details as follows:
- Network Name: 👉 Matic Mainnet
- Custom RPC URL: 👉 https://rpc-mainnet.matic.network
- Chain ID: 👉 137
- Symbol: 👉 MATIC
- Block Explorer URL: 👉 https://explorer.matic.network/
Once you’ve added the details click on the “Save” button. You’ll then be connected to the Polygon (MATIC) mainnet.
Once you have added Polygon (MATIC) mainnet you’ll need to transfer assets from the Ethereum mainnet to the Polygon mainnet.
You can transfer your assets from the Ethereum mainnet to the Matic mainnet and back ONLY with the PoS bridge (NOT the Plasma bridge).
Navigate to the Matic Bridge and connect your Metamask with the Ethereum network selected first: 👉 https://wallet.matic.network/bridge/
For an in depth POS token bridge tutorial: https://docs.matic.network/docs/develop/wallets/matic-web-wallet/deposit-eth-dai-on-matic

You can easily deposit your funds from Ethereum to Polygon using the web wallet. If you don’t have any MATIC on Polygon, first transfer MATIC token from Ethereum network to pay for transaction fees on the Polygon network. Then, repeat these steps for transferring ETH.
- Click withdraw/deposit opposite token that you want to transfer
- Enter amount of tokens for transferring
- Click ‘transfer’- Approve the first transaction of burning tokens and network gas fees
- Approve the second transaction and network gas fees
- The Bridge automatically converts some of your funds into MATIC to facilitate 100–200 transactions.
Once you have wETH on MATIC, you’ll then navigate to YOLOrekt.finance and connect your wallet (Metamask) just like you do for Ethereum, just with the MATIC Network selected.
Once connected you will be able to contribute as much wETH (MATIC) as you like in exchange for your portion of the YOLO.
Once the token sale has finished, participants must wait until the dApp launches or 60 days. Whichever comes first.
