With so many things happening in the world, it has become extremely hard to focus on the positive things. This is my first experience of a pandemic ( i don’t know about you), i have thought about every possible outcome. Naturally, i have a lot more negative thoughts than positive, considering everything that is occurring right now in the world and that has happened to me this year, i have to say that i have been a lot pessimistic about the rest of 2020. However, i am on a journey to focus on the positive things like writing, in line with this i created a post about the fashion trends that i believe would still exist post Covid because we are definitely overcoming this.

New trends spring up every year, changes in the fashion industry is never a thing of surprise. However, i do strongly believe that these new changes are going to be indefinite as many of us are currently experiencing our first pandemic ever and for this reason a lot of people are adapting by creating their own trends and most of all making using of what is readily available to them. Especially with the creative industry being strongly affected and brands focusing on the new supposed norm of “quantity over quality” the outcome of covid-19 is going to be pretty vast from colors to style. Here are some of the current trends that would definitely still exist after Covid.

— Face Masks

There’s no doubt that during this period face masks has become the new norm, with everyone trying to make the best of it, figuring out how best to slay it, face masks are definitely here to stay. I have realized everyone is adjusting very well to this new trend, everyone except me. I have had several conversations with people who are really into buying all sorts of colors of face masks to match their clothes and accessories, I for sure cannot relate as i am still stuck with my one or two pairs struggling to remember to put it on. I already have a weak breathing and covering my nose isn’t helping at all, but that aside its completely thrilling to see how well people are killing the trend with their outfits and the new designs of face masks popping everyday.

— Turtle Neck Sheer

Whether it’s a body con gown or a top, everyone is digging this trend right now. This is definitely my favorite trend of the year, am in love with the pattern these sheer tops are coming in. It’s just sexy vibes people! and I have seen it on virtually every body type, you can’t go wrong with this one. It’s going nowhere so stock up people!

— Open-Toe Mules

I almost didn’t add this to the list because this trend has been here way before the pandemic hit. But listen, after months of staying home when we finally get to go out the way we used to, you want to obviously get all dressed up to go on a date, go out with friends but at the same time you don’t want to do too much (or at least i believe you don’t). There’s just something about mules (especially open toe) that screams comfort and sexy of course. This trend is going to dominate so much that no one is going to be wearing actual heels soon.

— Comfy Clothes

2020 was supposed to be my year of change and growth, the year i would start dressing up and looking like the woman i thought i was becoming. Now that i have been home for almost 4 months, i have found myself buying more comfy clothes than usual and I am not mad about it. Comfy clothes like sweats and over-sized T-shirts is a trend only a few of us appreciated before now, but it seems like everyone is digging it now and am hoping it stays a trend mostly for my own good but you know what i mean.

Thank you so much for reading! Please don’t come for me for these pictures i worked so hard to put it together in so little time (lol)
