Yoto Talks TED: Sir Ken Robinson on Schools and Creativity

At Yoto, we’re big fans of learning and research. In fact we are slightly obsessed with sharing interesting content — particularly from the likes of TED. In this series of blog posts, I will be sharing some of our favourite TED talks with you, and discussing why they might be relevant to you as parents and fans of Yoto.

Sir Ken Robinson on Schools and Creativity.

Probably the most watched talk about kids and education ever. Hilarious and moving, we’re constantly inspired whenever we watch this. It covers the way in which our education system is preparing people for the world in 2070 and beyond. Which is mind-blowing, given that the world is changing so fast. Sir Ken talks here about how not to squander the innate skills that our children have — and how unless we nurture their creativity then they’ll have little chance of being well-prepared.

Being creative, and learning through fun is everything that Yoto is based on. Our aim is to inspire kids by letting them listen and interact with whatever they want to engage with.
