Let Your People Get Their Work Done

A train’s conductor is responsible for making sure the train runs on schedule. In the process, they check on the well-being of both the passengers and the crew. It is not in a conductor’s job description to drive the train. So they do not.
An orchestra’s conductor is responsible for leading the performance of the musicians assembled before them. It is not in a conductor’s job description to play first chair French horn or flute. So they do not.
If you are a supervisor, allow your people that work for you to do their jobs, especially if they are capable of doing their jobs well. If they are having difficulty, give them the support and tools they need to accomplish their tasks, but let them accomplish their tasks. On their own.
