Find yourself coming up with excuses to not work out? Are they hindering your ability of reaching your goals? If you find yourself saying yes to any of these excuses, see the solutions and don’t settle for sitting at home on the couch! Get up and go move! You’ll thank yourself later!

“I can’t afford a gym membership”

  • Workout at home! Try a BBG, FBG or Alexia Clark workout! All can be done at home and all accommodate to different fitness levels
  • Go for a walk or a run — all you need are a pair of sneakers
  • Buy dumbbells, bands, and/or an exercise ball to get in weight training, strength training and to work on your core

“I’m trying but I keep quitting”

This can be because…

  • You are trying to do too much too soon
  • You may be confused in the gym atmosphere and don’t know where to start
  • You’re simply getting bored from doing the same thing each time

What to do to not quit?

  • Get yourself a personal trainer
  • Change your workouts and mix them up
  • Avoid skipping your workouts
  • Grab yourself a friend that will help you stay accountable

“I’m not seeing changes happen, the scale isn’t moving either, why bother”

  • Weight doesn’t come off overnight — just like the weight gain didn’t happen over night
  • Be patient and remember to pay attention to how your clothes fit
  • Take before and after pictures to help you realize the progress that you’ve made
  • Learn to set realistic goals

It will be hard to get started in the beginning, but it’s just a matter of time before your daily workout routine becomes a habit!
