Poems
Hope
Hope is a Miraculous thing ,
That lets u spread ur wings,
A beam of light through the dark,
To help you in every journey you embark,
It lets you fly high,
To reach your dream,
As you soar in the sky,
Making you feel supreme.
The Edge Of our World
At the chasm of chaos what we would see?
Would it happen to be a world of joy and glee,
Or Ruins of misery?
Is it bound by the sea,
Or should we expect the unforeseen?
Will it be flames that tickle our emotion,
Or the wind that wrecks the unspoken?
Is it a futile mist that leads to nothingness,
Or is it a miracle to witness?
Is it truly an end,
Or does it extend?

- Mask
I heard that when you go outside,
You need to wear a mask.
I don’t know why,
But I didn’t think to ask.
My mother made a mask for me
Then sent me to the store.
For eggs, milk and toilet paper,
And a few things more
I don’t think I will do that again
Since everyone saw
Me shopping in a frilly mask
Made from a tie by gramma

2. To a Butterfly!
I’ve watched you now a full half-hour,
Self-poised upon that yellow flower;
And, little Butterfly! Indeed
I know not if you sleep or feed.
How motionless! — not frozen seas
More motionless! And then
What joy awaits you, when the breeze
Hath found you out among the trees,
And calls you forth again!
This plot of orchard-ground is ours;
My trees they are, my Sister’s flowers.
Here rest your wings when they are weary;
Here lodge as in a sanctuary!
Come often to us, fear no wrong;
Sit near us on the bough!
We’ll talk of sunshine and of song,
And summer days when we were young;
Sweet childish days, that were as long
As twenty days are now.
