When I think about: Life

For those following my content, there are some who know me from my life back in Kota Kinabalu (Malaysia), and there are those who know me as I am today in Toronto (Canada).

Thought it would be useful to add an entry point for future posts.

Life is great. I’m lucky enough to get a work visa along with an internship in my field of study. Since I’m no longer on a student visa, I have to get a travel visa (on top of renewing my work visa and passport) in order to leave Canada. So for the next while, I’m “stuck” in Toronto.

It isn’t bad though, I am greeted by the CN Tower on my commute to work every day. I look up at the tower and I always think of the opportunity I’ve been given to be here. I’m still a foreigner here, so to me, I’m treating this as my “study abroad” and since I’m closer in the city, I get to do touristy things #downtownlife.

At work, I’m learning that they like the content I’m writing for them. Which is funny because almost all my friends know how much I would rather work with video or design over writing any day. They seem to like what I’m giving them, so I got that going for me.

I’m still learning a lot from work, my responsibilities are growing and I’m being given a lot of different tasks from day to day. By the end of it, I’ll end up with more things to add to my resume which is always good.
