Hello, book friends! I’m back with another book review, and I couldn’t be more excited for the chance to share my thoughts on The Jewel of the Isle from one of my auto-buy authors, Kerry Rea. Many thanks to Berkley & NetGalley for the digital review copy of this adventure romance, which comes out today, Tuesday, November 26.

The Jewel of the Isle Synopsis

In a similar vein to Something Wilder by Christina Lauren, The Jewel of the Isle combines action-adventure with romance for a hilarious, heart-racing good time. The book follows Emily, a practical and risk-averse emergency room doctor, as she heads on a reluctant trip to the remote Isle Royale National Park to honor her late father.

She seeks out a tour guide after her boyfriend dumps her just days before the trip, and winds up with Ryder, who’s dealing with grief of his own. Fleet Adventures was his brother’s company, and Emily is their first customer in years, as it has all but shut down after Caleb’s death.

The two wind up getting more than they bargained for from their trip when they stumble upon a heist in progress.
